Get your Groove back Green Smoothie

Classic, cleansing and restorative. If you have been traveling, have been feeling overly stressed, ungrounded in your body and just not yourself, give yourself some love with the this classic healing green smoothie. This recipe will cool you down, cleanse and make you feel like you are getting back into your natural rhythm. Make this, take time to enjoy and breathe xo.

Get back your Groove Green Smoothie 

1 - 1/2 cup water, coconut water or pure orange juice
1/2 fresh lime/ lemon juice or tsp of apple cider vinegar
1 1/2 cup packed greens (mixed greens, kale, spinach)
 handful of cilantro
Handful of parsley
1-2 celery sticks
Chunk of ginger
Chunk of turmeric
½ to 1 banana (depending on how much sweetness you want)
½ to 1 Apple  (depending on how much sweetness you want )
½ to 1 pear  (depending on how much sweetness you want)
Generous pinch of ground pepper
Dash of cinnamon
Pinch of salt


Blend the greens, parsley, cilantro, celery, ginger and turmeric all together with your choice of liquid, apple cider vinegar or lime juice until completely smooth. Then add the pepper, salt and cinnamon, banana and other fruits and blend again until smooth. Add more liquid for desired consistency.

If you want a thicker or colder smoothie, freeze the fruits the night before.


- Use different types and combinations of fruits, always more greens than fruits.
- Add different types of herbs for different flavours, example: mango with basil.
- Add other spices such as a dash of cayenne if you want some heat
- Add superfoods such as spirulina or chlorella to enhance detoxification properties

The apple cider vinegar and/or lime/ lemon  juice is to help with alkalinity in the body as well as the breakdown of nutrients from the fruits and veggies.

Pour the smoothie in your favourite bowl to make a smoothie bowl and garnish as desired! I love fresh sliced banana, coconut yogurt, cinnamon, goji berries… Basically whatever you have on hand and that your stomach desires!
